Plumbing Fixtures

Water conservation is a major global concern, with only one percent of the earth's water available for drinking. Showering and bathing account for the largest indoor uses (27%) of water domestically. Choose and install low flow plumbing fixtures for an easy way to make a big impact. Low-flow plumbing fixtures are available in all the styles and colors of conventional fixtures at little additional cost.

Toilets Traditional toilets use up to 1.6 gallons per flush. High efficiency toilets (HETs) offer a 20% reduction in water consumption per flush (about 1.28 gallons per flush). Dual Flush Technology reduces water consumption by providing the right amount of water for the required task and tend to average less than 1.2 gallons per flush.

Dual-flush and high efficiency toilets are available in many bowl shapes, designs, and colors. Units are styled and installed similarly to other toilets, so plumbers are able to integrate them with the same ease as standard models. Both standard and high efficiency toilets typically range in cost from $100 to well over $1,000.

Zero Water and High-Efficiency Urinals are part of the next generation of water-efficient plumbing products. More popular with men than women, high efficiency urinals reduce water consumption to .5 gallons per flush or less. That’s nearly ten times as efficient as the most efficient toilet. Designers are now introducing stylish urinals for the home.

Showerheads The average showerhead uses 2.5 gallons of water per minute. With a water conserving head, the flow is reduced to 1.75 gpm. Technological advances have led to excellent performance using less water. It’s all about the fixture!

Faucets Faucets with low-flow aerators conserve water without sacrificing performance. Hands-free sensor faucets control the water so that it flows only when necessary.
